When HEAVEN MARC JACOBS reached out to collab it was a no brainer for me as I have always loved MARC. In the late 90’s I remember  saving up to buy his cute dresses. Then he opened his incredible MARC BY MARC store on Melrose in L.A. it was so rad and I ended up opening my store just down the block a few years later, I miss those days on Melrose.  Marc and I started around the same time and we both shared a love of playful details and fashion rule breaking. I was always excited to hear when boutique owners would buy our jewelry collections to merchandise with with their MARC JACOBS ready to wear.

I sat down to sketch the collection for this collab and I was thinking about the 90’s; about those times in NY and LA and all the creativity that was swirling around in fashion, art, music - in everything! I let my mind wander back to that time and remember all of that inspiration. I did what I always do for each collection and created a playlist with some of my favorite music from that time with artists like Bjork, Garbage, The Smiths, Hole, Cibo Matto and more. Many pieces in the collection are named after these songs.
